Thanks again guys,

No probs Darren, dont know if you will get it in the UK but I suspect there will be something similar. I'll smear out a bit and take a photo of it.

Please do, I'm always looking at exploring new ways of doing things  :)

I've started on a few more Saxons cutting off arms and repositioning, working from a wire armature,
it is going to take a few tries but I'm enjoying it all the same.

You'll get the hand of it. anyway, a good paint job can cover a multiple of sins.... believe me!  ;) :)

The finished pics of the bases doubled up and as singles can be seen here:

Cheers,
Darrell.

That is quite possibly the most dynamic and interesting mini sculpt I have ever seen. That is awesome.

Yeah, it's a really beautifully expertly crafted mini- and considering it is plastic too it is Kudos to Alan Perry for creating such an object of beauty  8)

I'm going to get their stakes organised for today- will take a day or two (I would imagine) for me to complete the basing on these so more pics up soon. In the meantime, here's the pics I took of the completed bases:

Next on the assembly/conversion line are the following two mini's. Having already sculpted the edges of the hood at the bottom I discovered that both the arms that have been altered were wearing a double gambeson, one long sleaved and one short worn over the top. Thus I've got to sculpt gambeson arms on both these models, which is going to be a serious challenge!

Wish me luck!!  :D

Darrell.

Here's a couple of taster pics.

You can read all about my chronic lack of confidence in my sculpting ability and see many more pics on my La Journee Blog here:

Very nice. :)

How did you do the extra stake bases ? - they do not look like Perry plastic stakes
