BLOODBOWL - Orc Team (Sturmtruppen)

Another commission I received from a friend. I must paint a bloodbowl team of orcs (Gazpes Arts manufacturer). I suggested to paint them as STURMTRUPPEN german soldiers.
Sturmtruppen was a successful Italian series of anti-war comic books written and drawn by Bonvi, the artistic pseudonym of Franco Bonvicini. It started as four-frame comic strips back in 1968 and evolved into fully sized collector books by the 1990s. The series continued until the early 2000s.

I first saw the Sturmtruppen on an old cartoon programme on RAI, Supergulp, far too many years back. They also had a Corto Maltese cartoon...

Here more sturmtruppen orcs (and some goblins too) for the bloodbowl team I'm painting as commission for a friend.

I painted the helm of the orcs with a camouflage ispired by the sturmtruppen in the right of the original picture.
