You could go with the Pegasus gothic set with some work to 'ruin' it, the old GW gothic ruins or osgiliath ruins

Here's how far I've got...

Pegasus building sets - 1 each of large set, small set 1 and small set 2.

Assembled, ruining applied with a hacksaw and a pair of side clippers.

Painting is black undercoat from top and bottom, then GW Fang spray from the top only, then drybrushing a lighter shade of blue from the top down.  Gives a decent shading effect without the need for washes.  I may think about lichen and other greenery spots, or just leave themm as they are.

Final details in metal and washed with the gw turqoise/green corrosion.

Basing  and snowy effects to be completed, and then I need to think about scatter terrain.

The pics below are a little washed out, but the colour is a really nice deep grey-blue.

Excellent!

Who sells those GF9 Battlefield in a box ruins?
I'm also considering Ziterdes, who do some LotR style ruins.

edit: I already had a small collection of doors and dungeon furniture from Fenris, Thomarillion and Reaper bones that may come of good use. Also Ainsty has useful walls and dungeon parts.

The Pegasus stuff looks great for Frostgrave.

Hirst Arts moulds are great for making stone ruins. A bit pricey, and it takes a while to cast what you need, but still good.

From the other Frostgrave thread, it looks like 3x3 feet is standard, but 2x2 or 4x4 feet boards are also acceptable.

Over the last couple of evenings I built these two ruins from 5mm styrofoam.

The tower is 3" square and the house is 6" square. I've not built buildings from this material before and I'm pleased with how they've turned out. I'll be adding upper floors, probably with balsa wood. Now I've made some basic buildings I'll try some more elaborate structures, using the GW Osgiliath ruins for inspiration.

I am planning to do a free postage order from Ziterdes when I return from the Cradle of the European Renaissance later this summer.

And I need to find my Pegasus stuff - I think I have at least 2 of those sets...  ::)

I also have 2 sets of the GW Osgiliath Ruins, one half assembled, and plenty of foamboard, should all this not prove sufficient for my wizards to cower behind explore.
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

I am just going to cheat and revive all the Mordheim buildings and scenics. Just say the thaw has progressed a bit further.

The potential need for another full set of scenery was my only hesitation on Frostgrave initially. When it became clear the snow is a narrative element not a requirement picking up a Northstar bundle became an easy decision.

Been doing some scatter scenery for the game.  Lots of barrels and crates, some rubble piles and I have the Nickstarter treasure tokens coming too.  I did a few big pieces as well:

Ral Partha - Necromancer's study

Fenris Games - statues

Ral Partha - banquet table

Reaper - Bones furniture

Foundry - things to eat and be eaten by

Fenris Games - Wendigo

The Ral Partha resins are lovely, and as usual I have to be dragged away from the Fenris stall at shows.  I did think about ageing everything with cobwebs, tarnishing and faded colours, but the scenery will see double duty so I decided not to.

I think we've decided that the snowy theme is a nice extra if we ever get round to it, rather than a core feature of the game (maybe it's just really chilly...).  Unless Joe has put in rules for the battle on the frozen river from Njal's Saga, of course...

Usual apologies for phone pictures...
