Thanks for the tip on the BoltAction house, Rob. THey have them on Amazon for 1/2 what warlord sells them for. Also available is the Hamlet, which is 3 slightly differrent sets.  If I didn't already have about as many ruined buildings as I needed, that Hamlet set would be a sure-fire start to a mordheim/frostgrave collection.

I picked up 8 kits of the 4Ground Ruins of Daldorr (2 each of the 4 kits available), and from these I was able to make 3 x Large Ruins and 3 x Small Ruins.

They were easy to put together and fit very well. Their interchangeability and modularity allow for a large number of variations, although I'll be permanently gluing mine together to make set pieces.

For the Large Ruins, I've ordered some MDF bases cut to size, so while I am waiting for those to arrive, I started working on the Smaller Ruins, basing them and adding dirt and fallen brickwork. I'll start painting them this arvo.

...and some pics of the 3 Larger Ruins just pieced together. Once the bases arrive I'll add more floor tiles, dirt, fallen bricks and columns etc.

Those are very cool ... nicely done.

Here is my table ....

an eclectic mix of stuff pieces from different places.

From Left to right:
Dreadstone from GW could have been made for this game!
A looted plastic toy castle from Gormity ... makes a nice Dwarf Enchanters 'tower'.
The old foam cast ruined tower from the citadel scenery range from years ago.
A tower from the plastic might Fortress.
The Temple of SKULLLZZZ from GM
The tower from 'Dragons don't share' from Reaper's BONES line

The two 'backdrop pieces .... which also came into the game with treasure tokens placed on them ... were scratch built using white polystyrene a bread knife and a bucket load of polyfilla. :D

The little bits were juts a lump of white polystyrene stuck to a pre cut kidney shape of 3mm MDF sanded to shape and the painted with a mix of white paint sand and PVA ..... the sprinkled with some snow glitter for that magical touch. :D

Couple of bigger hills for a bit of height ... same thing just thicker ploystrene and carved a bit of cliff into one side.

The trees were ebayed fro china and were stupid cheap.

They are lovely. Are they sold flocked with snow flock or just painted?

They're sold snow flocked if you order the painted one - worth specifying when you order, just to be sure you get what you want  :D

Glad you like them!

Very well done there Harry! I am going to toss my $0.2 into the ring and say I believe that snow & ice are important in Frostgrave scenically as they set the mood. Otherwise its just another fantasy skirmish in my view.

Hey INOFF THE RED, could you tell us what these pieces of scenery are made of? Are they resin?
