Greetings Folks,
If you are going to Little Wars Melbourne this week end make sure you drop by for some pulp era action with three great games featuring some of the great stars of yesteryear, including Mungo - King of the Jungle, International Flyboy Ace Rogers and the beautiful Zsa Zsa the Queen of Outerspace!

Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Here are a few pics of the games mentioned above on the day.
As you can see there was a jungle game, some space-pulp action and an Egyptian setting. I conducted three games during the day but, unfortunately, no one wanted to try the Egyption scenario. :'(

That's so awesome! Thanks for playing and sharing Pulp Alley. I'd like to send you a Phantom Agent card if you'd like to pick one out....

I really like your cliff/hill pieces. How did you make those? Is it natural cork or cork tiles?

Fantastic looking games, pity no one wanted to play the Egypt game. Love the space ship!

The whole board is made from acoustic ceiling tiles. They are solid but can be scored & snapped easily. So the cliffs were made by snapping pieces and gluing them together.
This is one of my favorite boards because I picked up a bunch of the tiles at the supermarket. They were in a trolley ready to be thrown out because they were water stained. I asked for them and they gave them to me. So the whole board cost me a coat of paint and a handful of sand.

Three entirely different settings - that's impressive commitment. And they all look good, too. Pity Melbourne is so far from Brisbane!

Brisbane is a long way away, but at least one resident came especially for the show as did two folk from Cairns, a large ACT contingent and a smaller Sydney and Adelaide turn out.
It was a grand day, and thanks to everyone who made the effort to come.

How did you make the spacecraft?  I like the look of that...

It's made from a plastic ant-farm. I just added the side things made from caps from marker pens and the little green knobs on top are the caps from those little plastic fish filled with sauce that you get with shushi.
