He looks great. Is this model by Heresy? It's a nice sculpt, though my favourite is still the old Citadel figure. I was able to scoop one from e-bay not too long ago, which made me happy! Please show pics when you've got the base done!

This one's Citadel. I've got another Citadel sculpt in my own collection that I painted years ago. Might snap a pic of it too.

Interesting this one is Citadel also. I didn't know they released several. The one I was referring to is standing straighter and scratching his head/helmet. Always loved that sculpt! If you find your other figure I'd enjoy seeing a photo of him as well.

Excellent shading, especially the belt and the belt buckle gem. The skin tones are a nice understated, muted change from the vibrant colors we often see with fantasy miniatures.

Thrudd... SMASH!

Here's this version:

There's a third one too.

I've got the one scratching his helm and it seems I popped a pic up on my blog a couple of years ago (found the image searching for the flyer pages above!). I really should matt him down as that shine is really distracting.

That's the one! You did a superb job on him, no question, and I actually don't mind the slight gloss finish. It's also a lot of fun seeing pictures of those old catalogues: there were so many great figures back in the day, and don't even get me started about the prices! (**cue sounds of rending garments and unrestrained weeping**)

Oh yeah, it's like when you pic up old blisters on ebay. You might have paid a decent price but that old £2.50 price label just mocks you for paying whatever you did.  lol

The Old Citadel Thrud is painted to a GLORIOUS standard & the base is a thing of BEAUTY...the gloss looks like the oil body builders apply for competitions. VERY WELL DONE once more!

You know, I hadn't thought about it, but that DOES look like body-builder oil. I knew it looked good!

Bought. Picked them up on Ebay and I think they're made by a LAF'er.
