7TV AAR
« on: June 03, 2015, 10:38:46 PM »
Went to my brothers last night for a quick game of 7TV.
Medusa and her slimy gang have stolen a gift of the gods(insert name of card here I can't remember).
A patrol of Spartans are following hot on the trail and have finally caught up to the slow moving snakes in some old temple ruins

Not a great photo but this is the table set up. The snake headed lady's gang are hiding in the temple ruins in the middle while my heroic spartans are coming on to the table from the left, behind the house.

The heroes and Bob the camel

The snakes

While advancing towards the enemy my heroes were attacked by a couple of swarms of snakes

While that was happening one of my hopilites tried to heroically sneak around the back

but all the snakes on Medusa's head must of spotted the brave soldier as Medusa quickly advanced to intercept him.

after disposing of the snake swarms my men advance to engage Medusa's snake-men body guards. Meanwhile Medusa killed the badly out matched hoplite and then joined the fray at the front of the temple.
The hoplites at the front held up the enemy while my hero tried to sneak around to come at Medusa from the back to negate her gaze attack but before he could get there the hoplites managed to kill off enough of the snake-men to cause Medusa gang to take a moral check which they failed so a win for me. :D

My kind of gaming. LOVE the terrain. How big a board is that?

I knew that Western Desert board would come in useful for something else  ;)
Great stuff. Must build and paint some of my Victrix Greeks and give this a try.

Very nice setup Colin.

Did you both enjoy the rules?

That's way cool. Did you use just the original 7TV rules or a specific sub-set?
The number of minis involved appears to be manageable even for someone like me painting at glacial speed these days. ::)

Mad doc  7th voyage rules very similar to 7tv different cards and abilities to suit the period.  Played on a 4'x4' desert board could have easily been played on a smaller board as we have very few ranged weapons in our casts.

That game looks absolutely beautiful--like stills from a Harryhausen film, and you can't get much better than that! Though I haven't played it yet, 7th Voyage looks like a lot of fun. I love the look of the game components: the artwork, the style of the counters, etc.

Thanks for sharing.

I hope my "quick games" look as brilliant as yours. Great. Can I use 7Voyages for Babylonians?
