I didn’t think this could get better, but it is.

You’ll need a big crane on the table so there’s something that can stack up all those large containers.

Really like the direction this board is taking, love the train and the scrap pile!

Thanks so much - but also making me feel guilty. The last update is still sitting on my work bench waiting for me. It now has an undercoat but not much else. Work has sadly eaten all my time. Hoping to get back to the brushes soon!

Haven't been doing any gaming and so I only occasionally stop in, but when I do I like to check on this thread and holy smokes you have been busy in the best way!

I went back about 10 pages and didn't see anything specific, but could you share what the source was for the core of the big crane/gantry? It's fantastic.

Thanks eilif, the gantry is a slightly modified Matchbox crane. I think it's supposed to be around 1/76th or 1/87th scale. Comes from this harbour set

Clearly I fiddled with it a bit. Shortened it first.

Then 'bits-boxed' it.

This whole thing is just amazing!!

Thank you Bandit!

What a neat toy!  I would have flipped out for something like that as a kid.

Dare I assume you have equally cool plans for the ship and mobile lift?

A little update after a LONG time. Finally getting back to Junktown and making some progress on my pile of vehicles and spares for the corner of my Hangar Board.

Just the basics blocked in and hairspray rusted, plus a few decals positioned. On to detailing, washes and weathering next.

Quite pleased with the pallet of spare track. Reminds me of those I used to see lying around in barracks in Germany in a former life. These are perhaps a little rustier. ;)

Excellent job once more! I also admire the decals, especially the "theft or damage" one!  ;D

and rightly so should you be pleased.  Can I ask where the pallet is from?  All the best and stay safe, GDonk

Thanks GDonk, the pallet is a cool kit isn't it? From these guys. They may some great crates and shelf sets as well.

This thread is honestly amazing. It's one of the things I've been following for ages and it's really inspiring. I hope to be able to get something similar started soon.
