So good, this thread is fantastic. Mind if I ask a question from some earlier stuff? How do you model the tarps covering some of the bits?

Magnificient! Do you mind to divulge the source of the heavy handling bot?

Hi Swaelg. the Heavy Handling Bot is from Titan Forge (link below). I replaced the original head with one from a Tau Battlesuit and left off some of the weaponry.

It's not big, or clever, but let's do it anyway

A few more close up shots of the shop itself, now that I have been able to take some proper pics:

Jagannath, the tarps are just bandage soaked in white PVC glue and then painted. Apparently wet wipes are even better - will try then on the next model.

On the bot shop I have also now used thin metal sheet. The tarps on the roof are metal.

Excellent - thank you. Wet wipes eh? I wonder if they'd be better 'baked' to dry them out first (then rewetted with watery PVA). One to try!

Thanks for the extra pics, all looks so good!

Yep, apparently you do just what you said - dry first, then re-wet with PVA.

One heck of a model and excellent work!

The only thing that seems out of place to me is that the oriental rug seems too clean. But it is a nice touch!!!

That is one sweet scene. Very believable, looks lived in and well-used.

I didn't catch any info on the shelves- are those scratch builds? They look ace.

Thanks again all for the continuing encouragement. Now need to work out which project to do next. I still have a few WIP container houses to finish but after that, the world is my rusty oyster.

For Dr M,  the shelves are nice aren't they? Laser cut card from the guys below. A little fiddly, but recommended. The drawers and shelf unit on the left in the shelf pic are scratch built from bits.
