Your work is truly incredible!!!! Always a pleasure to see your latest efforts. Is it all going to be one mega table top or just for the fun of modeling?

Astonishing!  So much detail, so much brilliant weathering.

Beautiful work...love the tiny details...the sort of thing a casual observer at (say at a show might miss), but you know it’s there all the same

Thanks again for the great comments. Glad you are enjoying this nonsense. I certainly am.

Terry, megaboard is the idea, but it seems to be taking me forever. This is the first big centrepiece and I still have a Hercules C130 to be the other major element. Been working out for ages what the end result looks like. Starting to take shape, which means maybe by 2020! In my mind's eye there are three 600x1200 mm boards, one with the town centre (Hangar and Hercules, plus radars and control tower), one with the Junktown Front Gate and a load of scrap walling plus defences and one with the Junkyard, scrap and recycling machines spread across the old runway. Let's see if I can get there!

Next update - Project 3 inside the hangar is now complete, plus a hangover from Project 2. This is the fuel and oils area. The SHADO vehicle was only ever meant as a prop, but it's kinda become more versatile than that, so it can be a game piece as well. I've also finished the Wasteland Explorer.

Hopefully you can see why I have left the weathering of the floor until the end. Starting to work out where the stains need to be!

Re: Junktown Scrapyard Crew - Update - Hanger Project 4 WIP Vehicle Bay

So on to the next Project - the vehicle bay. Just a couple of quick WIPs here to show the vehicles under repair. Haven't got the space or the light to take photo of the whole bay and I'm still tweaking bits of it, but this should give you a feel for what I'm aiming for. Had fun with the Humvee in particular. That thing I've built looks NOTHING like a real Humvee engine but hey, this is the wasteland right...it's probably been jury-rigged...or something.

And yes, as I lay the wheel brace on top of the wheel, and the pliers on the Humvee engine, I did start to wonder what an earth I'm doing

First up, Wasteland Crawler - a bashed one of these.

That's an impressive array of barrels :)
As others have expressed, this is outrageously good.

I may have missed it... where is the tracked blue wasteland explorer from?
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

Many thanks Dr M, the Explorer is an old Matchbox Lasertron, with the wheels removed and some random tracks added.

I'm going to guess that your vehicle bay is going to be in a separate  structure, to which I am very much looking forward too!

I have a couple of questions.
With all this great builds that you are putting out there do you find time to game, or do you just like to build as a hobby?

How deep is your parts bin? With all the little extras you have here, there and every where, you must have had a very big parts bin.

Just how big is your gaming room and gaming table?
