I'm going to visit Lucerne/Luzern with my Family on our way back from Northern Italy this summer, by coincidence

Its a lovely place down by the lake

Haven't been for a good while now but the bridge was beautiful before the fire and the transport museum with planetarium was a fun 1/2 day.

If you get a chance the train to Interlaken is a very pretty route

enjoy the town

Thanks - actually I've visited the place twice with my parents in the late 80's, so I also saw the bridge before the fire.

We'll be going up Rigi or Pilatus and visiting the Reichenbach Fall this time.
