Sir Christopher Lee - has passed away at the grand age of 93.

Condolences and sadness apply in great measure.

Never sure whether to put or were to put sad stuff like this - but he was a war-gamer.

 :(

I am looking for the following Deadlands minis:  Shotgun Thug, Lost Soul, Cleaners, Railroad Workers & Feral Dead. If you have any of these minis, or if you are one, please send me a PM.

Was he definitely a wargamer? Peter Cushing was but I'd never heard Christopher Lee was . Happy to stand corrected.

Sad news. His memory lives on in all the many, many things inspired by his iconic film roles. Every time one of us lovingly does a project inspired by those films it'll be our small way of keeping that memory alive.
"When to keep awake against the camel's swaying or the junk's rocking, you start summoning up your memories one by one, your wolf will have become another wolf, your sister a different sister, your battle other battles, on your return from Euphemia, the city where memory is traded." - Italo Calvino

I don't believe it. A drop of blood and he'll be up and running again.

The grand Lord of Misrule has passed on. We shall not see his like again.
His cinematic legacy is as legendary as the many and varied characters he has portrayed. I reckon he has been an inspiration for a large proportion of the genres and periods on this site, from monsters to assassins, wizards, heroes and villains. It would be interesting to see how many characters we could come up with in each of the subjects...

RIP Sir Christopher.

If the wiki page is to be believed, his entire life was amazing.  Dracula, Scaramanga, Jinnah, Saruman, Dooku amongst other roles.  Service in the RAF with postings to SOE and LRDG.  Polyglot, and metal albums in his 90's.  Married a Danish model.  Simply amazing.

The world is much more dim now...

Not too sad really... lived longer than I'm likely to, did it well... kept doing great work right up to the end. Congratulations on a life well-lived
