I am in awe of this thread. You've done a splendid job of the fortification and made it look right at home in the south. Could you put some minis up in the next update, to show the scale?

Splendid work - look forward to the completed model. Cathar castles have always held a fascination for me and I have a number of books and magazines on the subject. Hopefully our next visit will take in the region - have made it to Toulouse and Carcasssone but no further as yet.

That's a brilliant model, love the attention to detail in the drainage pipe and the uneven rampart. Eagerly anticipating the figures to go with this.

I always had a soft spot for the Cathars...

What was the "silver" coating called? It brings the detail out very nicely

Well , it's no "silver" coating , but a black coating slightly shining , an excellent coating very efficient : the "Noir de Mars" by Liquitex , i really love it !

It's efficient for the coating of figurines too ...
