BT Alpha Strike - Misery Campaign - Thrust and Parry
« on: June 23, 2015, 02:24:45 PM »
I recently purchased the Historical Turning Points: Misery PDF so that I could play through a campaign with some friends.

This PDF is set in 3028 and covers the conflict between the Draconis Combine and the Wolf's Dragoons at the end of the mercenary contract between the two.

The first scenario in the book is Thrust and Parry.  For this game, I used point values to balance the game, but I might use # of units for future games.

It was a fun game and we played it in about 2.5 hours with 16 mechs per side.  The speed of the game is my favorite part of the Alpha Strike rules.

The Dragoons easily won the mission and only suffered 2 losses.  The Kuritan forces were unable to stop the enemy from completing their scans and lost 3 mechs in the process.

More pictures and details can be seen on my blog.  http://gamingandshooting.blogspot.com/2015/06/misery-campaign-bt-as-thrust-and-parry.html
The winning player isn't always the better player.
