 :-* :-* :-* :-*

Really great to see someone making an army from the city I was born, raised and live  :D

Very nice looking pikemen! I think you'll need a Bishop for the army commander, Utrecht has always had an agressive bishop who commanded his troups into battle himself :D

Thanks LordOdo!
To be fair, the Utrecht pikemen are a support unit from a fellow municipality to the main army, whom banner has yet to be defined. Suggestions? I'd like to use the small cities and towns for the minor banners, and the main city of one of the lowlands provinces as main banner.
it IS a burgundian army, but it's not the main one, and it's not lead by charles the bold. :)

Till 1559 was Utrecht very big part of the lowlands:

All of the lowlands were part of the empire, so if you dont want to have Phillips or Charles to lead, I guess you'll hae to go with an bishop of Utrecht,  as they had only the king above them..

Awww, i don't want a bishop leading my tiny lead men!
Can't i just use a general from one of the provinces around? Maybe Brabant?

I'd go the Duke of Gelre. Brabant is fine too, just not Holland or Frysia,  as Utrecht had a lot war with those... :D

My commander will be this funny man.

Those succession wars should give enough background for games!
