Just did a blog post re: being close to done with a project I've been working on for a very long time -- 6'x12' of terrain for a refight of the October 6th, 1879 Second Afghan War battle of Charasiab.

I still have a couple of big steps to complete: finishing replacing my old 4" wide craft foam roads with new 3" wide latex caulk roads, and pouring liquid resin into three river terrain boards and one swamp board, but other than that I'm virtually done.

There is one "bonus" terrain piece I may or may not manage to add to the lay-out: turning a pair of extra-large pieces of cork bark into a mountain to tower over one corner of the table.

Here's a few pics:

My God, sir, that is a thing of beauty. I could be convinced to do something criminal to play on such a table! What rules do you intend to use? Thank you for sharing!

Hmmm, where do you live in Southern California? If you EVER are looking for an opponent, consider me your man (and I was only jesting regarding my temptations toward criminality...honest!). I'm in Pasadena.

Stunning, a labour of love . I love the watercourse and the swampy reeds . I,d love to see the figures fighting over it.

Marvelous work!  :-* You've set a heck of a high benchmark for wargames terrain.
