The Battle for Pervomaysk Bridge : Uman Kessel August 1941
« on: June 22, 2015, 10:44:16 PM »
We played our 5th and final Battle in our Uman Kessel campaign. Whilst this is the least historically accurate battle it was a great way to round off the campaign. The Germans really struggled to get across the Bug River bridge, getting bogged down in clearing the town on their side.

Photo teasers here and a full write up on my blog (mainly due to time !) If you are interested in 6mm WW2 I would be interested to know ?

Sounds like a tight game. I was staring into the first photo, looking at the backdrop screen you you provided (which I would like to do), when I noticed the small aircraft - splendid!

Thanks for looking the plane is an ME109 attempting to ground attack the Russians dug in around the bridge, unfortunately they didn't do much good being chased off by AA fire. The backdrop is just my slightly rough painting on a bit of board.

Wonderful, I'm building up a load of 6mm WW2 stuff at the moment (I must start a thread) it's nice to see that a lot of people still play in this scale/size

Thanks for taking the time to feedback. My feeling has always been for armoured warfare 6mm gives a much more realistic 'feel' (I do other scales as well) but not that popular nowadays. I'll check out your blog.
