Sci Fi Walkers in Poundland
« on: June 25, 2015, 10:57:06 PM »
Hi all

I always appreciate getting a heads up about useful items in everyone's favourite quality emporium, so I thought I would replay the favour  ;D

My local Poundland had some Kung Zhu play sets in stock. Although this mostly looked like "hamster run" kind of stuff, it did include the walkers: http://www.kungzhuhamsters.co.uk/juggernaut-battle-walker-black.html

These are about twice as tall as a Leman Russ. While the accessories are a bit naff, the walker itself is pretty cool

Brighton Poundland had some of the hamster armour as well, which could be the basis for shuttles etc:http://www.kungzhuhamsters.co.uk/special-forces-armour-ambush.html

Again, they come with strange accessories, but this particular armour comes with two meaty looking mini-guns that would look good on another vehicle.

Nice Find I'm not sold on the armor, but the mech is quite impressive looking.

Thanks for the heads-up. Looks like there's some potential in the walker; if nothing else there are useful bits for the bits box.

Now of course I need wargame rules for battle-armoured hamsters...

No walkers in Poundland at lunchtime :-[, but I did pick up a couple of B-Daman Crossfire models

Look to be about 60mm high, and there are quite a few variants

This is great. Now I can finally make those Giant Space Hamsters I've always wanted.

To get you started.

There are times when collecting and painting small pieces of metal and plastic seems downright mundane  lol

I got a set of the hamster armour a couple of years ago to pilfer the revolving cannons of it.
