Last update for the week - I can't promise I'll be updating the log this regularly all the time, but for now I'm being fairly prolific. I'm sure normal, Cretaceous service will resume soon   lol

Continuing the little Undead theme, here are some Zombies:

Had a lot of fun posing and painting these chaps. The guy with his guts falling out was an experiment with the Citadel 'technical' paint, 'Blood for the Blood God', which comes out really glossy and icky. A lot like Tamiya Clear Red I think.

In terms of gameplay, I only need six for levels 1-2, but eventually I'll have to paint another 3 to 6. Everything I'm doing now though is to get me through those first few gaming sessions with fully painted models for everything.

I'm going to do a little more Undead, then I'll probably treat myself to a Warrior before moving onto the Orcs and Goblins.

Have a great weekend   :)

Just awesome.  I've been meaning to do some Warhammer Quest (actually going to print some cards for room cards using the D&D tiles I think).  Love seeing the way you're doing this project.

New update, and it's the end of the Undead drive for the time being.

Are you my mummy?

I'll need two more mummies eventually if I want to progress past level 5, so I've already prepped and undercoated two old Heroquest mummies as nostalgic fill-ins! But I'll get round to those later - I've got some serious painting to do if I ever want to finish the level 1 monster table...

Nice Dr Who reference, have a jelly baby!

Love the mummies, the skin is nice and old, but preserved in that special way.

Wow, stunning efforts! I am very impressed (and a little jealous considering that I never managed to paint any of my WHQ!), so I'll be following this closely.

Have to confess, the new Vampire Counts plastic skellies from GW are great, if a little on the small and finicky side. But they're a real pleasure to paint compared to the old archers.

I actually really like the kit. They are very obviously "fantasy", but are still reasonably generic; you only know they are GW models because of the lack of anyone else making decent plastic skellies.

Your Deadites are FANTASTIC...TERRIFIC brushwork & an eye for colors. The Zombies have a certain appeal for moi. VERY WELL DONE!

Thanks for the words of support guys - it's motivating me to paint more, faster, better  lol

This week's update: I promised I'd leave the Undead for a while and get on with the creatures from the box set, so here are the first six Orcs! I went for a more modern/imposing model than the ones from the WHQ box, but had a lot of fun with these.

Almost done with the six Orc Archers/ Arrer Boyz too.

Stay tuned!

Edit: now with close-up!
