He told me that this fella also had giant statues in his garden that reminded him a bit of Nazi art and he had lots of huge dogs to protect his property

Actually, the police just searched the basement after they found out he tried to sell some bronze horse statues that where standing at the Reichskanzlei and disappeared in 1989.
Funny thing is that my newspaper wrote they found a "small tank (...) of 43 tonnes"... hell, are they coming to work with E-1500s??

From what I've heard, all of it was de-milled, so the cannon and the coaxial couldn't work, according to German law.

Furthermore, this lawyer claims that all weapons (he had dozens of rifles etc. as well) and vehicles are properly de-militarized and all the neccessary paperwork is present, and the town administration knew abut this and signed it. He also said that they are planning to sue because the vehicles were probably damaged during the transport.

More info about the Panther:

This tank was also built at the Panther factory under the direction of the British Army REME. It has been recovered from a scrapyard in Cock Lane, Surrey (UK) in 1977 (Trevor Larkum). It was confiscated by the German police in July, 2015 as part of an investigation on the owner (Newspapers)
