Minions !
« on: August 08, 2015, 02:58:32 AM »
painted up some minions I was asked to buy at Salute for a friend so she could gift 'em to her boyfriend.
I really wanted to paint one of those figures when I saw them.
I found the casts to be good, but not excellent (had to file away parting lines on several pieces and use some GS here and there)
Also, 1 arm broke while handling. (and I yes I was careful)
the yellow is a mix that I assumed would look like Minion yellow.
Decals are homemade (G-symbol on the jeans overalls and the megaphone as well as the eyes)
Now that it's all done, I can honestly say that I really don't want to paint another minion  o_o

Nevertheless, here they are :

Comments and critics are welcome (since they probably wont be a match for my self-criticism  ::) )
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons,
for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

Lovely stuff.

There's some relatively hard plastic (same size as these) miniatures that have come out for the latest movie. See here for the ones I got for Napoleonic gaming (there's other sets too):
