East European Buildings-Poland and Lithuania
« on: July 05, 2015, 11:50:06 AM »
We have all got the stereo type East European buildings in our mind and most manufactures cater for this perception, Grand Manner and Curteys Miniatures/1stCorps have brought out more varied building in the last couple of years
I ran across these photos and pictures which would be ideal basic MDF structures. If anyone in the UK can offer help building three of the structures for my 1830 November Uprising project please let me know.

Email the pics to Martin at Warbases
Gary, Glynis, and Alasdair (there are three of us, but we are too mean to have more than one login)

Bonsoir,

I'd be interested in something like these in 20mm and 25/28mm scales.

Do look a bit like Anatefka!

Apologies to Topol.

I had thought about using this as the basis of a high grade Polish wooden meeting hall then adding the plank detail. For my 28mm town/city of Ostroleka in 1831 the only stone or brick structue was The Convent of St Anthony, all other buildings were wooden.

Shipka,
The Pegasus plastic buildings in 1/72 are popular with 28mm WW2 eastern front gamers because of their size.
Have you checked them out?

Yeah the Pegasus buildings are a good choice. I have some and they look fine with 28mm figures The other off the shelf solution are the kits from MiniArt. Just the ticket reasonably inexpensive.

between the Pegasus and MiniArt offerings you should have enough to make a small village.

Unfortunately they are too stereo typical, what people dont realise there were more timber designs by way of the typical village/town homes than those we usually see on the wargames table. I am hoping to get some more variety .

Try to contact one of the many 3d printed buildings designers, you can go on Etsy and search for 28mm buildings and contact the designers. I would love to know if you find  designer that is willing to create these. The buildings you show would probably work all the way back to the Napoleonic wars and even the period of the Swedish Polish conflicts after the Thirty years wars.
