One of my favorite periods.
I see a lot of fine painted figures.
What set of rules did you use?

Thanks for the purchase...ha, ha! If you'd like to play a bigger scale Song of Drums and Tomahawks game, with more players, here's how I do it. I set up the board to be separate, side-by-side scenarios. They are linked together by theme. For example, my latest was the Battle of Bloody Run from Pontiac's Rebellion. Each player vs. player sector was a portion of the historical encounter (which was a long, sprawling battle). Players make strategic decisions of what forces to commit to each sector, and victors can even reinforce one sector from another when that encounter is won.

Here's a link to my blog post about it:

Oh, and sorry...don't mean to threadjack here...!  lol

Mike, always delighted to hear from you , I try to read all your posts on the F&I wars. We,re still at the read thro stage on your rules , I,m hoping to put a game on at the club sometime in the new year. They use three measuring sticks , could you clarify them in inches for an old Luddite like me , please ? Your Beaver Wars campaign is particularly interesting as ,between us , we,ve collected lots of Indian figures , hard to resist them , and inter tribal warfare is very appealing.  Sorry if my earlier reply may have confused you , i was watching the European Rugby match between Ulster and Toulouse , I replied at half time when I may have had a beer or three.  I should make it clear that all the figures in this post are owned by my good friend Billy Mc Clenaghen at whose house they were taken.

Thanks for the kind comments, sir! Sure thing on the measuring sticks. For 28mm games, the approximate cm to inches conversion would be:
Long: 7 inches
Medium: 4 3/4 inches
Short: 3 inches

Our kickoff date for the 2nd phase of the Beaver Wars test is the day after Christmas. We're meeting at a local pizza place that has a side room we can use. So, expect a new thread on that starting up soon. There is even a possibility a second playtest group in Cincinnati, Ohio (about 100 miles away), will be doing their own run-though of the rules, too.

I'm looking forward to getting it going... ;D

Thanks , Mike , for the prompt reply , so I take it that the maximum musket range is 3x times the  " long stick "  i.e. 21 inches.  I,ll be sure to post some pics of our future games , although it.ll be hard to beat the cover photo on your site.
