Took a bit bite from 4grounds. 7 buildings and the fences ... t'was a deal ^^
And on 31.12. I collected the loot from my local store.

So now, on the road to my first village. With that mass of buildings I may even converse or converge this or that.

Whike going hunting for xmas-gifts last year I came over some imitate-leather. Seems a good idea to have a quick sheet of underground with even a bit texture and not completly uni-coloured design for the village. It comes in various colours, like brown, green, sandy, etc.

Need to ponder into that.
best wishes

One step after another ...  :D

Acording to the hobby-axiom*, that time x money equals a constant I really think, that 4grounds is worth it.
I might (and that is a mighty might) have done something similar like these houses myself, but for sure not within the same time.
Although I plan to invest a little bit extra in maybe some very light brushing and furniture, this is quite cool.

so far ... thanks 4 hitting me ;)

via edit

checking new options now with my other stuff

* Drachenklinge, et. al., 2015 ^^

btw
sorry, poor quality pix with my tablet.

Thanks, Marine!

so, some tests with colours for the roof.
Like the blue more. The big one will stay black, the other will become blue. With some highlight by careful brushing.

I also thought to put the barn onto a stonebase, makes it stand out more, me thinks.

Well, bit by bit.  :D

shingled the next, the big one. Also attached the fur a tiny bit for better WIP-what-to-do-next?-Thinking.
With a little shinglisziplin I may post another pix with all wanna-shingle-them-roofs shingled.
You may notice, I kinda like that word.

But, be careful! Exzessive shingling may cause brain-damage.  ;D

I'am a shingle, singing shingle bells.  o_o  ;D

However I finished the ... roofs, so far. As said, some brushwork needed, but that's for later.

The other ones will get their thatched roofs and will most likely be outside the town in the field-module.

And with more "ambiente" ^^

Next step is figuring out, how I can make that a bit more city-like. I thought of some small house for the ladies of the willows. Maybe some red lampions and some green to smooth the eye ...

... hehe ... first try with the house of the willows

A few things to better that first shot, then this should work.

second version with some changes. Attached the pearls ro the veranda, seems to be more handy, regarding storage and gameability.
Also, the interior is finished and I most likely will turn the roof by 90 degree, seem to look better, at least for me.

btw ... if You'd expect a more luxurious inside ... well ... we're not at Edo, you know. ;)

That looks very good indeed. Where's the lady of the willows from?

thanks for the nice comment.

As to the mini, should be reaper, rea50152, Oyuki. Need to checked that myself, bought it quite a while ago.

Thanks for the reference. Your buildings really look excellent and colourful. How did you make the lampions (or what are they called, the orange and red spheres)?

@ buildings
just to point it out, they are 4ground's. I add the shingels cause I want a less small-village style with these. And in the case of the willow-house I add the red thingy (don't ask, I vaguely remember the German word for it  o_o ) and stuff.

@ lamions
simple glass pearls ... beads? ... since they are not completly opaque, like say wood, the have some nice light effects. This is a first try as lampions, I will check out coloured seethrough glass-beads, next.

due to a summer-projekt in another forum (and having holiday might have a part in that, too ^^) I finally managed to start my portuguese, which I wanted to play in Ronin as well.
This is a first test of colours. So far I am pleased with the WIPs.
