Looking for 6mm Pirate Harbour
« on: July 13, 2015, 01:17:48 PM »
Hey all,

for a naval wargame set in the Carribbean of the late XVIth century (for the sake of brevity), I'd like to build a little pirate harbour, to be pounceed upon by ye dastardlee Spaneesh, Sangre de Diós (and all that).

So, blockhouses, stockades, a wharf and anything else suggestive of a refuge for the enterprising buccaneer is what I'm looking for. I am using Valiant Enterprises 1/1,200 ships, so true scale is out for the harbour. I just need something picturesque in 6mm that says: "Here's where the pirates are."

Any ideas on where I might purchase such things?

Check out both Irregular Miniatures and Brigade Models 6mm scenic ranges.

Long Range Logistics do some moles (although I’m not sure if they’re not too big?).

In 1/1200, Rod Langton has some ancient & 18th/19th C pieces if you wanted to keep in scale.

Thank you Vern, I think I'll definitely find something amongst those.
