1914 Western Front 12mm
« on: July 17, 2015, 01:03:02 PM »
I bought several packs of Kallistra's excellent early war Brits last year, but in my usual tardy fashion have only just made a start on them. The images below depict my initial efforts and could represent a company or platoon plus MG support, depending on which system I plump for. At the moment Dan Johnson's wip Flanders Fields is looking like a prime contender. I still have some way to go if I intend to field a brigade, though!

Well done!  The riflemen look like stout chaps.  Are the bases bigger than the 20x40mm supplied?  I'm doing a load of these with Peter Pig's Square Bashing in mind.  I do like the Kallistra models.

Thank you. Bases are from Warbases and are 60x30mm for infantry and 40x30cm for the MG. They are great models and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Great start.

Now you need many more.

I'm slowly building up 10/12mm WWI forces - looking to use Great War Spearhead - so a division or two on the table with each stand being a company.

Can you tell us a bit more about Flanders Fields?
