Nope - the icy terrain, deep snow drifts and ruined buildings aren't great for horses.

I have played three games already with my Elementalist and his warband. I have build a warband out of the models in my collection so I found one major drawback. I have no archers in my collection. So I decided I will build my warband to be less aggressive, yet really fast.

As I said I am an Elementalist and decided that my wizard is the main fighting force of the group (big mistake for first two games...). I bought him a Barbarian bodyguard (I like barbarians in all forms and settings so... no choice at all), treasure hunter which is very fast and knows how to put a good fight and then 6 thieves. On a first occation I have switched one thief for one more treasure hunter.

I am quite dependant on line of sight blocking and moving from cover to cover but my group is really fast. I like it.

I am sure houserules for riding some beasts can be found and made. Somehow I think, that my dwarven mounts - boars - might be able to cope with ice and snow.
However, I am not sure, how this will effect the game. Maybe one can proxy the fast treasure-hunter. Is there a definition for basing size or contacting them?
best wishes

Maybe a horse, maybe not. But what about Yaks or Elk, Moose/Meese/Moosie. With a little creativity these should be possible...
