Painted a Thug
« on: July 20, 2015, 01:44:00 PM »
I just finished painting the first model from my nickstarter bundle: A lowly thug.

These guys have a LOT of detail, which means that it took me quite a lot longer than usual to get him done.

Wow! I love the use of the GW head... might have to nab that idea myself (I suspect I have a load knocking around somewhere).

Lovely work.  :D

I hope to be working on a couple of thugs myself soon.

Looking good.  I ordered the book earlier to see what all the fuss is about.  I'd planned on just ordering the plastics for dungeon bashing - but Audrey may talk me into playing with her.

I think the rules are great for dungeon adventures, too. In fact, I think I just found one more excuse for building some modular caves/dungeons...  ::)

Do it, all the cool kids are into 'Grave :D. My rulebook is on the way and Jerry picked up some Frostgrave Soldiers for me at Historicon.

He does look nice.  He's from the multi-part plastic set?

Thanks for the comments guys. I am hard at work at another: A Crossbowman, since I need one or two of those for a game on friday.

He does look nice.  He's from the multi-part plastic set?

Yeah, but with a headswap from GW Greatswords. I find that it fits very well.

I'll see if I can get a warband together, soonish. I received the stuff today, but I have some more skellies to finish, first.

Looking forward to seeing what you figure out. The skellies might be useful as a random encounter as well. The mausoleum scenario looks kinda fun. (That has nothing at all to do with my wizard being a necromancer. ::) )
