Plot points prisoners/wounded for Future Wars Pulp
« on: July 18, 2015, 02:52:56 PM »
We are going to be having a Future Wars Pulp campaign and I decided that I wanted some downed/wounded or prisoner types who would fit into a modern/near future scenario as plot points. I wasn't aware of any commercially available ones so I converted some old minis  that have been in the lead pile for a few years. I used plastic arms from WF kits & covered my frenzied hacking at the originals with copious amounts of green stuff. Here's the unpainted minis, I'll post up the painted versions when they're done.

Here are the painted minis. These will make useful plot points as captured/wounded corporate types.

Nicely done! Will make great plot points. I need some of those too.  ;)

Could that mean that Future Wars Pulp Alley is on the radar (if not the horizon)?

I'm already there. Most of my PA games are set in a Fireflyish universe.

Excellent work! It's interesting to see how the rules are stretched to cover different genres--it's obviously a robust system. Though I'm only just learning them, I will be using PA for Victorian High Adventure.

Thanks for the comments re' the minis
I think regards the gaming system Pulp can fit any time period very well, we were also considering a Dark Ages game.
With regards the Future Wars I'd had the minis sitting in boxes unused for a few years having  tried and not been happy with  other period specific rules sets. I think from past systems I've seen Necromunda was the best but its hard to stay enthused about unsupported rules sets.  The fact that even the rules for vehicles are generic means that they fit in well with 1920's through to  Future Wars games.
Fast play, fun, effective characterisation, no dodgy rules that favour particular 'types' and an workable 'campaign' mechanism  make it a really adaptable, enjoyable set of rules to use.
