I really like the van chum, there's a hint of A-Team to it...  8)

Yeah lol. It was hard to find a good van a most Hotwheels vans were 4x the price of a standard HW car. I used this and had some work to do to convert it.

Crikey its been a while since the last update.

I have been concentrating on finishing this project and the last 6 vehicles, but I was getting low on parts. So I finished about 8-9 1/72 WW2 and Modern kitsets, so i could use the spare parts for more hotwheels conversions.

The first is a Gun truck for my Holy Roller faction. Some of the the parts include a spare PAk40 shield, Sherman mudguards, FOW gun, panther gun mantel and side skirts and the deck is from a 1/700 ship model. I had to file and cut away the wheels arches to fit the bigger wheels.

Thanks for looking

Any another vehicle ready for the paint shop..

A off-road buggy made by Matchbox. It is a nice model and didn't need a lot of work. I changed the wheels added a PzIV gun, sprue bumpers and the scoop is from the van  I showed earlier.

Nice conversion. I've got 2 of those myself to use with 15mm SF.
I cut the 3rd seat & cage and made flatbed dune buggies out of them (1 with a rear firing gun like a portee or technical)

Another day, another Hotwheels conversion. This model is a "Tailgunner" in Outrider terms and they have the main weapon mounted on the deck facing to the rear.

For the main gun I used a German 75mm gun barrel off a stug and some door armour from a 1/35th model jerry cans. The wheels are from a $2 shop quad bike and are great for the post apoc conversions (and there were 4 bikes for $2).

Finished off another model. I pimped it with bigger wheels, a triple barreled gun poking out the back (hard to see), some extra bonnet and side armour, a star wars AT-AT walker gun, and the usual sprue bumper bars on the front and back. The wheel covers are from a 1/72 tiger tank!

This one is a bit more futuristic than the others and could almost be used for scifi

I hope you guys are enjoying these builds

Most definitely! This thread will be used for inspiration if I can ever get my group into vehicular combat. :D

Keep up the excellent work.

Thanks guys

Here's the second to last vehicle (if you dont count the wrecks I've been working on). Another off road/buggy model by hotwheels. I left the one to last to start as it didnt inspire me and I almost turned it into a wreck. It came out a bit scifi looking and i maybe should have given it a more beaten up look, but I think it will paint up nice.

Yah, this is the last vehicle for this project!   :)

Another pickup conversion. This will be for my Republic of Texas Rangers police force. The deck on the model is quite high so I had to build a box for the gun and the Japdpanther mantle looks awesome. Other bits are more toy bike wheels, the usual pieces of sprue, a 1/35th bren gun, cross-stitch mesh and other spare model bits finish off the vehicle.

Cheers
Kieran
