Thanks a lot, jp, I actually tried to copy some existing patterns. On all three of them. But nothing to compare with the real ones.
They are amazingly colorful. No imagination needed. Only Mother Nature herself does that stunningly beautifil.  :o
best wishes

thanks a lot, Gypsy, very kind to say.

Bought some new NPCs on the Attriticon, a local con in southern Germany. My Frostgrave zoo is growing. Much to the nuisance of my brave adventurers.  :D

so, did some painting ... most likely I will use this little fellow with anger issues as a "monstrous form"-token for my Illusionist Linus

Also got some ice-gorillas ... althuogh a more dwarven version, but I I think, they will do the trick as NPCs in Frostgrave. ^^

mixed them with the frogs, for a project in another forum.

I have those same gorillas. They're a much better scale for 28mm, at least when compared to real-life gorillas. The ones in the rulebook are more like 12' tall.

thanks ChaosChild, you are right there, but in that fantasy setting of Frostgrave (icegorillas ...) it seems a bit small, everything need to be bitter and more scary. ^^

However, it was fun to paint them, and the sculp is quite cool!

So, now here's a little construct named Copperhead for my later enchanter or as an NPC

thanks 4 hitting  :D

My new Frostgrave entries - still a little on the WIP side. ^^

The little fellow is Captn Hook (he got a hook on his other hand, behind the barrel), just added the bowler (called "melon" in German ^^), so that is especially WIP. He will join Doc Schröder and his "Freezing Circus" and is the ape I considered to be to "feed" the stree organ (which I still need to build  :-I ).
I try to give a hat to every member or use minis with such a sculpt.

The slightly bigger fellow with the nasty attitude will have its appearance as a random encounter, most likely of the more dangerous type. Still thinkin, if I will make the eyes more magical greenish of some sort. Not sure yet.

and - some might be interested - I collected some ripe wheat (or oat?) seeds. They seem to come in handy for some sort of "not so common" little bushes or gras tufts. Need to experiment with it, though. However, some are ripe right now. So the time for collecting ... is now - or next year. ^^

Now, I can check all the dirty secrets and improve my painting

... or show, what I already have ...

... awesome DC!

Now, I need to get accustom with it. ^^
Folkes ... THAT is what I ment ... it is NOT the missing button, it WAS the missing camera: ;D

Geee, as time goes by ... so I started my 2017 painting session after a veeeeeeeery long abstinence.

Not much, but a tiny bit to get back into the groove.

First, a few Skaven, some gang-members for my Frostgrave NPCs, maybe as canonfodder or treasure hindrance. They belong to the Skaven-Benetton-Clan ...

And then some borrowed ideas from Casting-Room-Miniatures ... I like their undead-range

It would be pretty fun to do a Skaven warband - worth considering!

Yeah ^^
Thanks, schoon.

Now I got the two masters as well.

The plan is to have house-rats in grey as thugs, wandering rats as fighters in brown and the wizards as albinos in white.
The brown ones are next, also a skaven-oger, but right now I don't know as what to include it. Something bigger than a dog or a thief, I guess. ;)
I try to include rat-swarms as dogs, but not sure right now. Maybe one jezzail, too, if I can lay a hand on a single one.

Thanks a lot!

A chap from here suggested the name Nes'Quick. Maybe I call the wizard Squeekgalf the White and his apprentice Nes'Quik.

here the finished skelettons.

I more or less dipped them, or at least put them kneedeep into wash.

Also a "carrier-rat", originally the first I tried the albino-skin with.
It is a lot more rosy in real, though.
