There is some real cool stuff here. I like your camo uniforms a lot. And your tanks look sutably weathered.

One little thing: I notice the faces look a little like masks. Maybe it's the extreme close-ups that produce the effect. Maybe you could mix a somewhat lighter color (put some white in there or maybe some sand color). And maybe paint a thinner layer of color on the faces.

Don't get me wrong: your minis look splendid. It's just a suggestion. There are hundreds of styles of painting and not the one correct way.

Thanks guys...

Aaron: I live in Aliquippa (Center township) in Beaver County. I sometimes go up to Legions Hobbies and Games to play which is on Perry Highway. They have an extensive website and forum too.

Doomhippie: I vary the way I do my faces quite a lot, sometime just black wash or sometimes eyes, sometimes they turn out better than the others :( Thanks for the suggestion!  :)

regards,

Brad :)

I am in the South Hills unfortunately. I usually game at Phantom of the Attic in Oakland or at a pal's place half a block away from my house.

Maybe I will bump into you in the area or a convention. I'd love to check out your paint jobs in person. Keep up the great work!

Hi, welcome to the forum.  8)

I think that you’re a better painter that I was at your age. Your splinter camo on the German paratroopers is great! I’m not even sure I can do them that good now.  lol

The tanks you use look like Solido die-cast... are they?
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

Aaron: I usually go to Coscon sometimes (I watched the Disposable Heros game last year)...I have been to Phantom of the Attic a few times. I usually use Disposable Heros, I have a complete late war Waffen SS platoon, British paratrooper platoon, and Late war Russian platoon with another on the way!

Calimero: Yep, they are Solido diecast, my Dad loaded up on them when they were reasonably priced, I have about 200 of them plus a bunch of Corgis.

regards,

Brad :)
