I finally got my Mexicans ready for the fight this friday. Thx to some members here on the forum for the inspiration !

Very nice work!

As it happens, I'm just painting these models too... I love their character, but I'm finding details of the sculpts (both sculpted and moulded) to be a bit of slog. Hands and heads in particular are, erm, rather wonky.

Anyway, I do wish I'd seen your thread first as some of the details are clearer to me now!
The chap with the green waistcoat for example - I didn't realise it was a waistcoat over a shirt, so painted the whole thing as shirt and couldn't then work out what the clothing/stomach area was around the top of his waistband.

Ah well. I'll bookmark your thread for the next lot I do!  ;)

Yes black scorpion. The greens I used are from the Ak interactive set for the german m-44 uniform. Ofcours sometimes mixed te get lighter or darker effects. And the greens in a set of 3 for german uniforms in the first world war. See pics:
