Clontarf 1014 AD Project
« on: August 06, 2015, 05:58:37 PM »
With the aim of building armies for this Dark Age battle set outside dublin in 1014 AD, this is my first unit of Irish Warrior for Brian Boru's army.

I'm basing them all up on 60x50mm bases so they can be used with a number of rules, To the Strongest and Hail Caesar being two of them. :)
Lots more to go lol!
Cheers

Bill

Nice work Musketeer. I've been debating how to paint my Irish and your work could be the inspiration I need :)

Great. Must be very satisfying to field an army you've not only painted but sculpted yourself  8)

Good colour scheme, have previously used Musketeer figures as generic ancient tribesmen and some of these chaps would be most useful.   Excellent range of figures by the way - Brian looks especially fine.

Have to ask - where is the harpist.........?

Lovely looking unit.
Nice earthy tones.
