Another pic (left), compared to the footsore fig (right) I received the other week. Not a chunky fig, well posed and sculpted. Cleanly cast. Roughly 28mm to the eye. Should match the Foundry figs but I don't have any to compare!

It's going to be a grand range with Collier on the case sculpting wise.

 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

I'm going to content myself with painting up the freebie mini- simply got too much on the go to do anything else but that.

Excellent range of mini's and great to see the command packs released with the rank and file!  ;) :)

Looking at the comparison pic above, it seems the Footsore 1870 Prussians will be the best match for the North Star Danes in terms of both size and sculpting style. Well, they will be when Mssrs Thornhill and Hauser release them, that is.

Although spikecounters will no doubt point out that Foundry and Footsore have the later lower pickelhaulbe :D

Spike counters.....  lol...

Use Austrians instead then.....oh wait, they'll pick at that too, those shakobullies  ;)

Anyway I don't care!!!  ;D

Apparently the Feldmutz was much favoured on campaign. The cold weather would, presumably, have resulted in Austrian and Prussian troops wearing their greatcoats. I suppose the same might have held true for any cavalry.

BTW - Doesn't anyone else see the resemblance between the 2nd officer on the right with the raised sword and our friend Didrich, the cow bothering nobleman from the series?

A small point is that the rifleman at the resr of the group at the ready, has somewhat negroid features

I'm slightly disappointed that there's no officer wielding two Colt revolvers!

My sample arrived - I am very impressed. Thank you Nick.

Was there a 28mm SHW project in 2016 in my calendar? There is now.

Scale is with the Perrys and Marsh. No flash and nice detail.
