Napoleonic PBEM Campaign – Command Vacancy
« on: August 13, 2015, 09:36:02 AM »

I need to find a player to take on the role of General Wittgenstein in my long running campaign.

This fictional campaign is designed to provide interesting battles for my wife and I to wargame.   It has run non stop since September 2009.

There are five geographical campaign areas, each with one French and one allied commander.

Each area has ten objectives, and each objective is a stand alone campaign phase.   Each phase is a campaign similar in size and scope to the Waterloo campaign

Wittgenstein is the commander of the Russian Army in the Danube Valley in Southern Germany.   He commands four corps and his objective in the coming phase is to take the city of Ulm.

I aim to complete one campaign day each week.   To do so each player must be able to let me have is orders within two days of receiving the daily umpire report.   If unable to do so I will write them myself, providing they let me know within the two days.

There is, of course, a learning curve for any new player.  But after a week or two it should take no more than an hour each week to write orders

Each campaign phase takes about four months to complete.   At the start of the phase both armies are full strength.   The commander has complete freedom during the map campaign, but we wargame each battle.

If you would like more details you will find it on the Campaign Diary Blog here
