Personally, if I was going to do plastic I would go for the Warlord mini's because I agree that the Wargames Factory figures not only lack sufficient detail but more importantly, the Wargames Factory figures just don't look anatomically correct.  They seem to have stubby legs.

which has been the point in the Frother's discussions... well hidden, but the point none the less...

I believe GW may be helped by their huge online presence and large number of retail outlets.

#cough cough...

't would be nice if the friendly and pleasant atmosphere of the LAF-forum could be preserved, boys. No need to get all worked up over nothing. ;)

I'm sure your business could of been bigger than your back shed if ....

.... there were more hours in the day.

Your concern about my families well being is touching, Steve. But don't worry, HF is as big as it needs to be for us to make ends meet.

So, are you going to buy any of these Romans?

Myself? I think the legs are a bit short and the detail seems rather soft in the castings.

Luckily I don't have enough interest in the period to actually buy a box to play around with and enable me to accidentally find another period to get hooked on.

Personally, having now taken a look at both the Warlord and Wargames Factory Romans, I can't honestly say I'm impressed with either of them. They both lack the crispness of detail you get on metal figures, and which the Perrys appear to have managed to achieve on their plastic ACW and French Napoleonics.

And the Victrix British Napoleonics look in a class apart - although we have yet to see them in the flesh of course...

Will be interesting to see in the long run who gets this plastic thing right, and who doesn't quite hit the mark...

I agree whole heartedly with the Good Captain, the Victrix have me drooling and really looking forward to seeing their French moreso than the Perry ones in my opinion which look to be a huge improvement on the ACW which were OK but not top notch

To be fair, he (anevilgiraffe) was here long before you. :-I

That doesn't necessarily mean he isn't stalking you, of course.  >:D

I would not believe anything a frother says about these figures. They have been bad mouthing them before they were even made.

So anyone who posts on Frothers is, by default, a liar, or unable to have an opinion on anything that doesn't agree with your own view of the world?

You might be surprised how many people post of Frothers & LAF (and TMP, TGN etc etc).

For example, are you accusing Matakishi (one of the Mods on LAF) of being untrustworthy, because he happens to frequent Frothers from time to time? Or is he ok because he hasn't (to my knowledge) mentioned the WF figures?

 ;D

wouldn't dream of it mate, just read the thread as i've been away for a week (and replying to a few PMs).

 :)

Haven't got a grudge against Scurv, as frankly i've no idea who he is, although i hope that Avatar isn't a personal photo as it looks a bit like a serial killer.....  ;)

I knew that, and he knows it, but still made a scene about it. lol

He happens to post after I've posted, on a thread that's been here for days, and his obsession with me on Frothers, does suggest the possibility such behavior here. :-[
