Fallout - Enclave Troopers
« on: August 16, 2015, 06:53:06 PM »
Well after recently hosting a Fallout game I decided the time had come to churn out some more Post-Apocalyptic models to war in the Wasteland. With this in mind I located some Brother Vinni Enclave models I had acquired a few years back and set about painting them up...

Overall I'm really pleased with how these turned out, and I think they are pretty close to their on-screen counterparts. I'm particularly pleased with the freehand symbols!

There are a few more photos on my Blog at ClassicAstartes

Next I'll be looking to do some authentic Enclave Officers without Power Armour

Pretty cool, now you need some Talon company to be there scouts and raiders in the capital wasteland.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Very nice! Are the yellow "E"s hand painted?

I do wish Vinni would do a few more poses.

Cheers mate;

Yep all hand painted ... It was soul-destroying!

I have emailed him asking for him to do more poses, more weapons and T51b Power Armour! If we all email him he is likely to see the demand for it and sculpt some!!!

Fantastic work! Dark paint jobs are always tough, but yours have great highlights.  :-*

Cheers mate. Yeah I found it quite challenging to get a grey dark enough to work up from for their armour, in the end I settled on Coat d'arms Panzer Grey which is nearly black.

Very nice well done
The Victorian Outpost

Its a new gaming place in Grimsby with new terrain and new scenery, lots of respect for all wargamers and is the best place to game in town.

Anybody who wishes to visit the venue to arrange a game then  just pm me and lets roll those dice.

Those look good.  But the three photos do show the effects of variations in lighting and photography: in the first the armour looks a brown-ish grey, in the second a blue-ish grey and in the third a neutral grey!  Add in the different calibrations of our monitors and I wonder how far any of us are ever really seeing the miniatures posted on the web the way they really are.

Cheers guys! I'm glad you like them! I really do like these models they are such accurate representations of the images from the game!!

Funnily I was thinking the same thing; every picture looks slightly different. As an interesting aside someone once told me the reason GW used to give all their models Goblin Green bases in the 1990s was so that they could use that as a base colour to calibrate all of their images in WD.
