Has anyone tried the advanced access version?

Cheers

It's not bad, certainly looks very Warhammer-y. The enemy AI on early access was a bit iffy, but it's steadily getting better. Could be a very interesting game once the warband and campaign stuff is sorted.

Thanks

Does the eraly access get the full game for "free" when it's done, or do you need to pay again?

And any idea where I can find the specs needed?

I think some folks have tried it and said it's good, but needs work and is certainly not worth paying full face value for yet.

It's...okay.  They're moving glacially slow, so I can't recommend it at the moment.  Also the ability to see how/where everyone is...is not the best.  You lose track of stuff very easily due to the cinematic angles they prefer.  The maps are unfortunately "meh".

I'd give it 2-3 stars out of 5 right now.  It also, in no way, reflects the table top game.  In genre only.  This isn't like Blood Bowl where they made a stellar PC version of the table-top game.  This is a game based on the idea of Mordheim, but carried out in a hugely different fashion.

In closing...Steam Sale?  Yes.  Normal purchase?  No.

Thanks I was hoping for a BloodBowl type game... perhaps I should get Warhammer Quest in the tabet instead..

Careful - the WHQ is short, very limited and you end up having to pay to unlock expansions or something.  They said it's good for a quick play-through but it's not a full version of the board game (at least it wasn't 6 months ago, the last time I saw it).  I'd LOVE to have a good 3D version of WHQ on the PC.

Regarding Mordheim...just watch a bunch of videos on YouTube and judge for yourself.

Yep, A good 3d version of WHQ would be awesome. I bought the iPad version and although fun it gets very repetitive and later on it gets (or at least in the past it was) impossible with Goblins even being able to beat you down as the fights always took so long because the bad guys levelled with you that more and more monsters would spawn before you had finished off the first lot which made it impossible. They have probably fixed that now but it put me off playing any more. It was good that they levelled with you but the spawning needed to be sorted out. I imagine it was to stop people being idle in the game so it should have stopped new monster encounters when you were already in an encounter.
