the Round games table
« on: August 13, 2015, 10:27:35 PM »
As i live in a small abode, i have a round games table, sounds mad at first, but for playtesting its great, and as an added bonus it spins around like a wheel, so one doese not need to move far from ones chair !!! right royal like :)

I have been thinking about a round table myself, especially for naval and aerial games, but the spinning feature is brilliant!
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

I like !

I once had an oval gaming table.

I think small tables without corners look great.

Shouldn't you be playing 'Arthurian' on this sort of table though?

lol                                                    I used to play on a large oblong table in collage. I think it was a confrence table of some kind. your round table looks great. Will work really well for small skirmish game like Pulp Alley etc.

my theory is i never use the corners unless im trying to hide, round tables seem to force action to happen faster.... i currently use the table for playtestin OSC, wich all going well goes to the printers next week (currently all hands to the pump)

Certainly makes me think. I have always used round bases for everything on the table for aesthetic reasons. However, I can see real benefits from a round table, no wasted corner space.
