Can you help me identify this model?
« on: August 23, 2015, 08:31:54 AM »
Can you identify this model and tell me what, if anything, is missing from my piece? I suspect this must be a Grenadier model but I failed my Google-Fu and haven’t been able to confirm this.

Cheers
Martin

It is indeed a quite nice 25mm piece. I'm going to use it in a game of Oldhammer soon where it will serve as the enthroned Ghoul king.

Wow, we just uncovered this same model in our lead molehill at the beginning of summer! There are 2 thin braziers that go with the set and fit into the base.

Two braziers and a short staff with a crystal ball. The full set included twin sculptures of lions, a small dragon on a perch (kind of pet), two dead knight and a demi-vampire with sword and dagger to challenge them all.

Ahh yes, I see the pic now. You know this means I have to find the rest of these pieces now... can't have an incomplete set lying about unsorted, can we?

It's a nice set. The undead princess is especially weird and unique.

I may have a few spare pieces from this kit that have been sitting in my bits bin for far too long, if it helps complete any sets. I will try digging them out later.

There’s no excuse then. Get cracking at this great set! I’m starting on my throne soon. It would be fun to see the different takes on this piece. Indeed it would be cool if folks with a painted set would upload some pics to this thread.

As my throne is missing the small parts I’ll have to do some improvising.

This is how my lich king turned out. The throne was missing some parts which had to be made and the princess could not fit on the throne next to the lich - as I had envisioned it. She thus ended up on a base of her own. However, it was a fun little project to work on and I'm looking forward to using the lich king as some über-evil in some future game.

Cheers

I like it, especially the throne and the undead Princess Leia. I wish I had one too.

The trick to put the princess on the throne base was to put her legs around one of the baziers, sorry to be late!

Painting is great, now I want to dig out mine and paint it too!

Ahh! I see. The makes a pretty phallic posture for the lady but probably it would work fine. I didn’t think of it. Thanks for the tip. Now go paint your lich king.
