Aventine Steppe Cavalry now complete 24 th August
« on: August 24, 2015, 05:43:15 PM »
Adam delivered the last 2 packs of Steppe cavalry this morning, light cavalry with spear light armoured and unarmoured. That finished the range off for us. Most come withseparate heads and there are loads of heads to choose from. We think they cover a huge range of tribes from Huns to Avars. There are loads of photos on our site but here are a few of the latest sets.

Steppe cavalry with bow (heads set C)

(head set B)

Light armour

Unarmoured

A bunch of them

There are more here

Next up is the Sassanid infantry(without globe hats).

Cheers

These look great Keith.   I was thinking the lightly armoured chaps would be fine as Sarmatian light horse - would have to carve off the stirrups I'm afraid.   Was thinking of either bare headed or non-Roman helmets.

Sasanids sound interesting, especially the lack of those globe hats!

The bare heads offer a range of new hairstyle possibilities.   8)

Agreed with the above - once again Aventine outdoes itself!! Headset C will be amazing for Late Roman/Early Byzantine horse archers!! I'm going to buy a bucketload!

So good in fact that I would go so far as to say I think that they're the best range of Ancients out there presently.
