Kong sized gate to adventure: Kong's Cave!!!
« on: August 25, 2015, 04:14:26 AM »
Greetings,
I have started to get into pulp gaming and have started to gearing up for a campaign set on Skull Island. Here is the first piece of major terrain I have finished. It's the gate created to keep Kong on his side of the island. I have brought a whole lot of Pulp Figures which I will hopefully get painted over the next couple of weeks.

That looks very impressive - some larger pictures would make it even easier to appreciate! Is it scratch built, or bought?

Thanks for the positive feedback. It is scratch built from cannibalized cardboard boxes and wall filler. Here are some larger pics. My 6 and 7 year old helped design some of the reliefs and my two year old did some painting.

Yes, even better! Love the reliefs - even cooler that your kids helped with them. Hope to see much more down the track.

Great idea and wonderful execution. Will need to make a version of this in the near future...although a bit more 'Cthulhu-y'. I may also conscript my child...

Do you have an ape yet?

Best regards,

No, but will be looking to acquire one at some stage. Jodee, where is the ape from in your photo? Looks very cool. If I get the time I would like to sculpt my own!

Beefcake, yes it is. Made out of cardboard boxes and lots of filler.

Excellent work. You (and your children) are very talented! Jodee, I'd also love to know who makes that gorilla--great looking figure.

Eric the Shed, will probably do the wall in a avery similar style. However, I'm currently looking to get some of my models painted. Here is the first batch all ready to be undercoated.

I really like the Reliefs. You and your kids made a very good job on those symbols!

Greetings  :)
