Pushing and Shoving at St Cuthberts
« on: October 29, 2015, 10:32:52 AM »
Once again, those two arch-enemies, Evil Dr Weevil and upright Inspector Phillips square up against each other.

It’s 193? And there’s trouble afoot. The fabled Amulet of Destiny has been stolen from the Royal collection. Originally thought to have been created by Hittite priests, ownership has passed through Assyrian, Egyptian and Persian hands until it disappeared for thousands of years, hidden in the tomb of a Persian satrap.  It was looted from there by a British Archaeological expedition and ended up in the Tower of London. Now it’s gone.

There are strong rumours it is hidden somewhere in the environs of a lonely, deserted church, the Chapel of St. Roderick the Confused, and various groups of interested parties are closing in on it.

Inspector Dan Phillips and his team are determined to restore the Amulet to its rightful place in The Tower.

Dr Weevil and his acolytes seek the Amulet so they can harness its arcane power.

"Bad" Benny Smallpiece and his Cardiff Dockland gangsters were also supposed to be here but couldn't make it.

Tables turned in the last move as Weevil and Phillips fight toe-to-toe

In brief, the Weevil mob got two minor Plot Points and located the amulet in the lych-gate but before they could secure it, Inspector Phillips shot their scientist who dropped the two Plot Ppoints he was carrying. These were secured by Agent Friendly but it was too late to capitalise on this success. Game ended with Phillips' men holding 2 points and Weevil's one point. The Amulet was not secured so these sworn enemies will fight it out again at St Cuthberts.

Obviously the names of the protagonists have been changed to protect the evil Dr Evil :-)

I would also like to point out that despite claims to the contrary, the evil Dr Evil claims a moral victory for behaving in an almost evil way.
