WF "Liberty and Union League" Zulus
« on: February 26, 2009, 06:01:05 PM »
.... pre-orders are currently 88% complete  ;D

Pics from their site below:

They look pretty good to me, if maybe a little stocky. I'd prefer to see them next to Black Tree or Empress Zulus before I buy, but if the price is good I'm tempted to buy some anyway as I need to bulk out my Zulu armies cheaply and then save up for some Empress for the elite regiments and personalities etc.

Intriguingly it looks like the shields are quite "wobbly" like the pics of existing shields I've seen, rather than being perfectly smooth and flat like most other minis. Maybe it's just the photos, though.

EXCELLENT - MORE ZOMBIES.....

 ;)

Haha! Yes! Is that an insult or a compliment, though?

The problem is, you just can't tell from a computer image what the finished figure is going to look like.  :?

The faces look quite good, but the bodies look weirdly dumpy and misshapen...

I do agree that the wobbly shields are a nice touch though - very much more like real cowhide.

If they did the shields as a separate sprue we could just buy them to add to existing figures.

Now that is something from WF I would buy. Never seem to have enough of the things. Would be great for converting generic DA tribesmen into Ngoni (which is what I'd want them for). Can't say I care for the figures themselves one little bit though, I'm afraid.
