iPaint's Frosty Excursion to the Ruined City of Frostgrave
« on: September 08, 2015, 09:37:36 PM »
Frostgrave is next on the club's To-Game list, so here's the WIP of my fledgling band. It's just missing a Warhound, which will come from a Zombicide Zombie Dog when I get around to fishing it out of storage.

Necromancer, Apprentice, Treasure Hunter, Warhound, 3 Archers, and 3 Thugs. Should be fun to get these painted. I still need to add some more greenstuff fur here and there.

I also went ahead and put together a few extra models, but hopefully shouldn't need 'em yet. Also ordered some Warhammer Fantasy Bretonnian bits - first GW model purchase I've made in over 4 years.

Great start. Those metal hooded heads work great - westwind? And lovely extra green stuff detail. Thanks for sharing

Finally have the first nine models painted.

Treasure Hunter, Necromancer, Apprentice.

Thugs

Archers

Just need three more washers to finish the bases on a few of them, and then gotta paint up the warhound. Eventually there will be a few more additions, but this will work for now.

Those are lovely minis .... Love those paint jobs. The 'cold', muted colours are perfect.
Very nicely done.

Very nice painting. Liking the highlights on the faces particularly.

For all my heroes and beasties I just use the "official" colour schemes, because I like them, but I felt the henchmen paint jobs are too bright. Guess what thread I am opening when I am going to paint the rest of my henchmen?

Nice sculptwork too!

yes, +1 on the muted palette - so atmospheric - and something I wish I could get better at, I must say.

I'll echo others' compliments on the subdued color palette, really works well.  :)

Also curious about those hooded heads, source?

I have to agree, the muted palette on the soldiers looks totally better than the official scheme (too carnivalesque for me).
