Otherworld Fantasy Skirmish

Only received the rules the other day and already tinkering!  lol

Looking at the changes needed for Tekumel games and one rules change:

Cowardly trait - instead of just rolling a d6 for the turn number, each turn roll a d6 and if you roll greater than the current turn then the model sticks around, else it flees per the normal rule. Basically the same result, except it adds a degree of uncertainty as to how long the model will stick around as well as making it more suspenseful each turn whether it will stay.

PS. I've asked about a child board for OFS...

I got the PDF and it is very good looking indeed, and the scope like Howard said is  tempting, my insane worlds will fit in easy and being a 7TV gamer old time  I like the whole thing.

Wilderness stats im told coming soon so superb. I believe at Donnington World championships a hard copy is in order. look forward to your games Howard pictures please?

Still reading through the rules but loving what I'm reading...more easily adaptable, in my opinion, than Frostgrave and so perfect for those who like to make their own worlds/campaigns/scenarios/adventuring bands up especially as 7th Voyage can be used in conjunction with it.

PS. I've asked about a child board for OFS...

This would be great!

I would be happy to support a child board, with plenty of news, scenarios, rules queries and FAQ etc.

Anyone heard an ETA for the PDF of the adventure cards?

These add to 7Tv and so I assume they would for this as well. I'd prefer to not have to create my own PDF for them. :)

Hi Richard

+1 for a child board, and to get the FAQ started…
On P10 under Obstacles you say the characters move at 1/2 rate, but then go on to state that ‘if the dice roll exceeds’ but to don’t mention rolling dice.
I know from 7th Voyage that you roll a d6 then check, but where does the 1/2 rate come in?

Cheers

OMG. The evil mercenaries are named Holloway, Easley, Elmore, and Trampier. Genius. But where's my favorite, Otus?

EDIT: Ah-hah there's Otus, a blessed crusader! He's joined by Dee, Roslof and Willingham. I reckon Otus must be dedicated to the mushroom gawd of trippiness.

I hadn't noticed that! I must read more closely...  :)

I wonder if some of the other names are old school luminaries I'm not familiar with?

There's Salva and Tore...appropriately enough amongst the Drow Slavers.
