colours and garibaldi
« on: September 13, 2015, 08:08:45 AM »
Went to colours yesterday so here are a few observations

Parking was well organised and whilst crowded itwasn't too bad and I guess it was good for traders
Food was as ever undermanned but thay is the nature of the beast

Games were a mixture
Good 40mm and 54mm games with excellent scenery and the 1871 grand tactical was wintery and inspiring
Some games were just a table with unpainted buildings and no interest in the customer. What is the point? In fact the standard of display games seems to have polarised in recent shows from the excellent to the why bother

Bring and buy was too crowded to get near and so we didn't bother
I don't have a solution but re tables and less people who have large backpacks and sharp elbows

Bought some gringo40s neapolitan figures. Absolutely superb and.a comprehensive range still expanding
Licky to get the new artillery which is perfection
Ged and his good lady (maybe the other way around) amazingly knowledgeable and helpful.i think along with Iron Duke and Empress these are the standard for the industry
Also Iit is nice to see a complete range being seen through even if it isn't going to make huge profits because it is a niche period
This is obviously a labour of love by Ged.
All in all a good day
