Redoubt ACW size compability

hello
i've read, somewhere in this forum, that the Redoubt minis from theit ACW range are more compatible with other manufactures than their usual big boys...in fact they have interesting multipurpose pieces that i woul like to purchase to fill some gaps in my Colonial and 19 C. Armies principlally composed ot of Foundry, OG, Perry, Mirliton ecc.. ecc...any ideas? comparison picts?

I have no photos but they are same size as OG, Perry etc. Only the Iron Brigade regiment pack are a bit bigger as far as I have seen

I have Redoubt ACW with Crusader and Renegade and they look fine.

Careful there. Redoubt figures were sculpted by 3 different sculptors, I believe. I know that the F&I War line is all over the place, size wise.
Some of the earlier Redoubt sculpts are fine with OG, Perry, etc., but the later stuff is not just bigger, but much bulkier and wider all around. Renagade and crusade are larger "Heroic 28's", actually closer to 30 mm.

Yes, Renegade are very much larger ACW figures than Perry, Old Glory or Foundry. Redoubt (or are least the 100 or so I have including a big mix across the range) look fine with them. I happen to really like the Redoubt horses though I've heard others say the total opposite!

Poor photo but hopefully it can be of some help, from left to right:

The postures are unfortunately not identical but you can see that the Redoubt are a bit bigger but within the normal variations among people

thanks so much traveler..that pict explain quite a few things..i think i can mix Redoubt ACW with my other 19 c. minis...above all because i need not easy to find "special figures" to convert in Colonial/Foreign Legion/Risorgimento/FPW casualties, stretcher bearers, drivers ecc...on the same topic i can sugget, from personal experience, that the brand new 3 ranges from same manufacture .Boxer Rebellion, Japanese/Russian conflict and the interesting Boer War one..are made out of perfectly compatble minis..very similar in size with Foundry, Perry and OG

Perry, Redoubt, S&S and Eagle all worked together fine for me. In fact, the only way I could easily tell whose was whose after I'd stashed them in the same boxes is that the Redoubt's have separate heads.
