Battle of Gaines Mill an 1862 Scenario and AAR Part 1

Morning people,

Its been over a year since I ACW'ed so we are having another go. I'm not a ACW buff so I asked our resident guru Ian to suggest a battle. "Gaines Mill, thats a nice small one" he said.

When I ran out of regiments (I have about 150) I have requested a reclassification from "small".

Its a long post as I have included our regimental orbat and our battlefield map. We use Johnny Reb II rules which for me are still the best, old school kool. ACW purists be gentle with your comments, I am but a man and an Englishman (nay Yarkshire !) at that.

Regards, Ken

Nice looking game Ken. Hard to believe they are 6mm. Great pictures.

Thanks for putting all the info on your blog. Brings back memories of my many 15mm ACW epic encounters.

You can't beat Johnny Reb II! :)

Cheers

Peter

Cheers Peter, I think I may have played in a few of those games as well. Can't beat JRII. Figs are all Adler Miniatures,  great detail for the size.

Regards, Ken
